BEARS RE-SIGNINGS
Kadeem Williams - Centre
A versatile centre / back row who was recently selected to represent Jamaica in the England Knights test. A personal trainer in his own time based in Sheffield, Kadeem was heavily involved in the 2019 squad and is known for his tenacious defence.
Reece Rance -Wing
Reece recently featured for Ghana in the African nations championship in September and was a stand out performer last season. When he breaks the line it’s almost always a certain try for the Northampton based winger.
Brad Sheridan - Halfback
A student at Warwick University and originally hailing from Wigan Sheridan featured for Ireland Universities last year and paid a role in the majority of the Bears games towards the end of last season.
Cameron Stewart -Prop
Stewart was a solid squad member last year. A tough no nonsense prop from Leicester he is still young and learning his trade in League One but is progressing well and will be another player to watch out for next season. He has also represented England Colleges.
Niall Collett - Hooker
Collett has represented England Colleges against the Australian Schoolboys and is another product of the Midlands Academy and will look to stake a claim on the number 9 shirt this season. Young and technically very skilful he was another good squad member in 2019 with a fantastic attitude.
Will Tully -Utility Forward
After graduating from the Midlands academy and spending time with Castleford TIgers, Will went on to play a number of games for the Bears last year, and was unlucky that his season was impacted through injury. He should prove to be a handful for opposition defences next season with his size and skill.
Ben Gray- Utility Forward
Ben has been a mainstay of the successful England students side, while he is studying for his degree at Sheffield Hallam. He has a real presence on the pitch with his consistency, strong running and aggressive approach in defence.
Harry Kaufman - Back Row
Harry brings a real positive attitude to everything he does on the pitch and in training, and is always prepared to the hard yards for the team both in attack and defence. He will play an important role in leading by example for some of our younger players.
Leon Harber - loose-forward
Leon signed for the bears ahead of the 2019 season, however suffered a season ending injury whilst playing for Coventry University. Leon was a part of Wigan Warriors' highly successful Scholarship and Academy system. He is a no nonsense, tough running loose forward and is another player who is young, but with a great background and willing to work hard and wants to improve.
Peter Ryan - Prop
Captain of the Ireland Students this year Peter is a Prop forward renown for his right should on Fui Fui Moi Moi. Studying in his PGCE year at Warwick University, Peter will be looking to come back in the new season fresh and strong ready to put himself on the front line again.
