ANOTHER CHANCE TO RELIVE OUR HISTORY 2018 SEASON
Bears fans looking for a handy stocking filler this Christmas, take note; a revised edition of Forward! – the book documenting the our historic twentieth anniversary season – is now available.
The new edition features a bonus chapter that picks up where the story left off and covers what happened next – namely a rollercoaster 2019 season, followed by a 2020 season cut short by coronavirus – and a new cover designed by Bears Director of Rugby Alan Robinson.
The rest of the book documents the Bears’ historic 2018 season, where they celebrated turning 20 by breaking their attendance record twice, recording their first wins against traditional heartlands clubs, and going further than they’d ever gone before in The Challenge Cup.
The revised edition is available now in paperback and Kindle formats.
It covers the entire 2018 season, and features profiles of key staff and supporters of the Bears, as well as an introduction from BBC Sport’s Rugby League Correspondent Dave Woods.
Author Dave Musson, who also co-hosts our official podcast Bear Necessities, said: “I was delighted to be able to sell out the copies of the first edition, and had been thinking for a while about doing a second version. Then, with 2020 panning out as it did, I found myself missing rugby league and the Bears in particular. That got me writing and, to cut a long story short, I soon had a new chapter and a decent enough reason to put out the second edition.”
The revised edition is available exclusively via Amazon in paperback and Kindle formats.
