Bears sign Welsh player Zak Williams

This week the Club signed Zak Williams from South Wales Ironmen.

Tom Tsang said;

"Zak is a fine young player and has always performed well against us so I jumped at the opportunity to bring him to Coventry when it arose. He is in good shape and covers a number of positions for us including hooker and looseforward. Im looking forward to seeing him develop in a Bears shirt."

Zak Commented;

"I am really delighted to have been given the opportunity to play for Coventry Bears, I feel that it's the right time for me to further pursue my rugby league career and to show others what I have to offer.

I feel Coventry Bears will bring the best out of me, and looking forward to a challenge.

I'm training hard and work hard on my technical ability to make sure I get things right on the field and by that giving my all.

I'm looking forward to running out as a bear hopefully on the weekend to make my debut. Also to challenge myself to become that player who is first on the team sheet week in week out.

Im fighting for a spot within Welsh national squad whether it be this year or next and I believe being here at Coventry bears will give me that opportunity if I continue to work hard.

I'm looking forward to this new chapter in my rugby career.
