Challenge Cup 3rd Round Preview
Bears face Cougars in cup encounter
This Sunday the Bears travel to Keighley Cougars in what is sure to be a stern test in the 3rd round draw of the Challenge Cup.
Bears Tom Tsang said;
Overall I have mixed feelings about last week’s loss to the All Golds. We dominated the majority of the first half and only had our own mistakes to blame for not holding a commanding lead at half time. The second half was disappointing - we had some decisions go against us and we seemed to lose our cool , meaning our discipline was poor and we gifted them cheap possession with multiple penalties. By the time we go back to basics the game had gone.
I'm expecting us to learn from this, with it being early in the season and show progression against Keighley this weekend. It will be a tough game against the cougars. The players will be looking to impress ahead of next week’s league opener against Toulouse away.
Two props Tommy Holland and Elliot Liku from NW Crusaders come into the squad on a month long loan and should help bolster the Bears pack in this away encounter.
