Chris Barratt - Back Row
We caught up with Head Coach Tom Tsang and Chris Barratt.
TT: Chris is the most important re-signing for us as we enter our 5th season, being our captain from this year and also our longest serving player, having over 80 appearances for us in League 1. Chris is in my opinion without doubt one of the most underrated players in the competition. He is as hardworking as he is skillful and has toughness to match his understanding of the game. He regularly tops the stats columns for both tackles and carries, but does so in a no-nonsense way. Despite his ability, it is how he has developed and grown as a leader that I am most impressed. He has the total respect of all his teammates and sets the perfect example for commitment to hard work.
CB: The year just gone had its ups and downs - for me personally breaking my leg at the start of the year and then us coming on strong and finishing the season on a high. I can’t wait to get back into pre-season after a few weeks rest and pick up where we left off. I want 2019 to big a year for both me and the club - I have the chance to reach 100 games for the Bears and I want to do so, by winning as many as possible.
