Another great milestone was achieved today with Coventry being announced as a host venue for the Rugby league World Cup in 2021.
Bears Owner Alan Robinson Commented:
“Id like to thank Coventry City Council and the Ricoh Arena for their interest and belief in Rugby League. This announcement will give Coventry Bears another opportunity to develop our community, participation and business and there can’t be a better time than this for local businesses to join us on our journey”
Coventry Bears Tom Tsang said:
”This announcement will give us all a huge boost in confidence towards hosting a game and I hope in some part that the steps forward the club has made in recent years on and off the field has also contributed towards the decision to bring a game to Coventry”
Our season starts on 17th February v West Wales Raiders at the Butts Park Arena come and get involved.
