Coventry Bears v Keighley Cougars Match Preview
Sunday 7th May, 3 pm kick off, Butts Park Arena
After a two week break, Coventry Bears play again this weekend.
After a tough start, the Bears won their last home game against Oxford, but now face long established Yorkshire team Keighley Cougars.
Looking ahead to Sunday’s game, Tom Tsang, Bears Head Coach was in a good mood;
‘that win did wonders for our confidence. Against Oxford everything fell into place, now we have to do the same again, and a little bit more, against Keighley who are a quality side.’
‘Keighley are in the top third of the table, having won three of their first five league games, and it is against sides like this that we have to measure our progress’
For this match, the Bears have partnered with Age UK Coventry, a leading local charity to raise awareness of their work, particularly their befriending scheme, aimed at combatting loneliness.
Tickets are available online in advance for just £9 instead of the usual £12 on the gate for adults and the Bears owner Alan Robinson is hoping that this will encourage fans to bring someone along with them, or for others to come along for the first time and enjoy the friendship and spirit of the game.
Kick off 3pm Butts Park Arena, Sunday 7th May.
Tickets can be purchased at the discounted price of £9 HERE
