Last game now a double header with Coventry Utd

UNITED AS ONE

Coventry United Football club and Coventry Bears Rugby League club will unite as one for a double header on Saturday 16th September at the Butts Park Arena.

At 12 midday, United play nearby rivals Bromsgrove at football, then at 3.30pm Rugby League takes over as the Bears face up to South Wales Ironmen.

It is sure to be a day for Coventry sports fans not to miss, a great opportunity to watch two local teams and two sportsin one stadium and is a first for both clubs.

Alan Robinson Bears CEO said "this is another exciting venture for us as we join forces with a forward thinking and truly dedicated group of people behind Coventry Utd who, like us, have a great vision for their club. I am a big football fan and can't wait to see Utd in action and hope their fans stay and take in our last game of the season. There is a lot of similarities between both sports with the ball in play for large periods and I think the Utd fans will like what they see and get behind us"

The Bears also have hospitality on offer upstairs in the platinum suite with everyone welcome to book a place. The price is £30 which includes a two-course table service meal and will be a chance to hear from the club and its sponsors. You can book with eventbrite here or email direct on debbie.watson@coventrybears.co.uk

Entry to the Coventry Bears game through the normal turnstile will be at normal prices and will be open from 12.30 pm. Bears fans if they arrive early will also be able to see the football club play at no extra cost.
