LEAGUE ONE SHIELD FIXTURES ANNOUNCED
Bears enter League One Shield in top three spot
It is very exciting times for the club as we finish the regular season in 11th place. This is a huge achievement in only our second season as a semi professional club. We now enter the League one shield in 3rd place from the bottom 7 clubs in the competition.
All points are carried forward and we will play Oxford, South Wales and University of Gloucester at home and North Wales, Newcastle and Hemel away from home.
Bears Alan Robinson said, "This is an exciting time and I am very proud of what we have achieved so far finishing in 11th place. We have a real opportunity to challenge Crusaders and Newcastle for one of the top spots in the table from the position we are in, but must also focus on getting results each week and cannot afford to slip up. It should be great for the supporters and I hope everyone will come and get behind us".
The key game which could be pivotal to a place in the final will be when Coventry Bears play against North Wales Crusaders - a game that ended in a draw just a few weeks back! Aside from this, we also need to secure at least 5 wins out of 6 games to aim to be in a good position to challenge for a place in the final.
Fixture dates are below with the first match scheduled for Saturday 23rd July 3pm kick off versus Oxford.
