We are very pleased to be able to announce that we will play London Skolars in a second warm up match on Saturday 1st May at New River Stadium in North London with a 3.30pm kick off. The game will be played BCD.

Head Coach Rich Squires commented:

“It’ll be good to see how far we’ve come in training. It gives us a good insight into how we need to be. It is a pre-season game) but we need to do all the little things right in the pre-season games especially against a seasoned side such as Skolars.

Player welfare will be a top priority in the coming games. We need to look after them. They won’t be game ready like they would normally after a preseason. We hope to utilise all of our squad in both games to maximise preparation before the season start the week after. We believe that playing two games in preseason will give us the best possible opportunity to be ready for what will be a tough schedule on and off the pitch”

This game will be the second the Bears play after a first warm up was announced against Keighley Cougars for 24th April at Cougar Park.
The Bears will then take on Barrow on Sunday 9th May at the Butts Park Arena with the game streamed to the public through OurLeague.
