MEDFORTH RETURNS TO BOOST THE BEARS
We are delighted to announce that Centre Eddie Medforth has re-signed for 2017.
Tom Tsang commented on the announcement;
"This is a great re-signing for the club. Eddie has been with us since we joined the league in 2015 and has become a firm fans favourite. At just 20, Eddie has shown that he can be a big attacking threat at this level and was our top try scorer last season. That form caught the eye of a number of other clubs in our division and we did at one point think we had lost 'the pig', as he is known, to one of those other clubs, but it’s fantastic that he decided to stay with us for another season".
Eddie said;
"The Bears as a club is clearly going forward off the field and they have a top set of lads so it was a hard decision to leave in the first place and am glad I changed my mind to come back to the club I've been with since the start of its professional era. Im enjoying working with Tom and the other coaches again and I hope to be able to repay them for the opportunity to re-sign by putting in the extra work off the field and i just cant wait for the games to start".
