Coventry Bears Head Coach Tom Tsang said ahead of the game: “We're all looking forward to This final friendly match, after it was postponed last weekend. Unfortunately this new date clashes with the England Universities trials in which we have 9 players involved, so the team we will be taking to North Wales will be missing some of the familiar faces, but such is the depth of this year's squad, we are still confident of a strong performance.”
“I was pretty happy with our last match against Leeds Rhinos, but well still be looking for big improvements as we approach the start of the league.”
“North Wales themselves have a talent group of players - 4 or 5 of which are previous Bears players, so we know a fair bit about them.”
“It should be a good competitive match which is what both sides need , just one week out from the first match in the League”.
