TIGERS & BEARS TEAM UP
We are delighted to announce another new club partnership which will see both clubs working together on a number of levels.
Coventry Bears Alan Robinson commented:
“As with Derby City and Swindon St George we are very interested in working with clubs in the community of the Midlands and South and Bedford Tigers certainly fit the bill of a club with ambition and potential.
As with the other clubs we will share a Dual registration agreement and work together on the development of players both ways, Bedford play in Conference League South which is the highest amateur level in the south so it only makes sense to work together on the playing side. We are also looking into ways to work together to develop and find new talent and offer more playing opportunities for juniors. The Tigers already have a very exciting satellite project with a number of junior clubs which sit under their brand and this is another fantastic initiative that must be applauded. The Tigers also run their own charity which is very unique for a club in the south. They are a club with lots of ambition and I am delighted to encourage that and assist their club in any way I can”
Rob Ashton from Bedford said: “We're really pleased to have formed this partnership with Coventry Bears... it's exactly where we want to be as a club. Working with them will have huge benefits both ways and adds a new layer to progression to our player pathway into the professional game. We are always looking to add value to what we do as a club on and off the field and this is a perfect fit for us”
