Bears sign Jack Francis

The Bears have signed another player to bolster the squad for this season.

Tom Tsang commented on the new signing of prop forward Jack Francis.

'Latest signing Jack Francis is another Leeds Beckett University student who has caught my eye over the last 12 months playing in the student game.

He is a big powerful and aggressive prop or second row and will add some physicality to our pack.

He has previously played at League One level last year with Gloucestershire All Golds and started the season in the Rochdale squad before leaving due to University commitments.

Oldham born Francis is currently unavailable due to an existing hand injury but we are looking forward to having him available for selection soon; likely in time for the home game versus Barrow.

Jack Francis commented: I think signing for the Bears will give me a great opportunity to show what I can do as part of a club new to the competition. They have already made their mark and shown they can work hard to prove themselves.  Although  being out of the game due to injury has meant missing the start to the season it has left me all the more fervent to get back on the field, and playing along side some of my good mates is just a bonus!
