Matt Cooper In Action For the Bears 

Coventry Bears can confirm that Matt Cooper has agreed a new deal at the club which will see him remain at the club for the 2016 season. 

The dynamic loose forward has been a key member of the Bears inaugural Kingstone Press League One season and will be looking to improve even further in 2016.

Speaking on the re-signing of Cooper Head Coach Tom Tsang said: "Coops was one of the first players we wanted to re-sign and I am very pleased to have secured his services for another season."

"Matt is a local lad and has really stepped up this year, topping the stats weekly in both attack and defence. Having a forward who has the ability to play close to 80 minutes to a high standard is such a luxury and that has not gone unnoticed by our opposition." 

"He has been a transfer target of several other clubs in our league and it is a testament to Matt's loyalty to his hometown club that he has decided to remain a Bear for 2016."

Cooper joins fellow back rower in returning to the club for 2016 and will no doubt be looking forward to what the new year has in store at the club.
