Geurtjens Gears Up for Second Season
Following in the footsteps of many of the 2015 squad Australian prop James Geurtjens has agreed to stay at the club for the 2016 season.
Having relocated from Australia's Gold Coast the Welsh international has become leader for the club on and off the field with his playing and his work as part of our community programme.
Speaking on Geurtjens addition to the growing list of retained players Tom Tsang said; "The re-signing of 'Gurcho' is a real statement of where the club hopes to be next year. James has played the majority of games this year and regularly topped 100 meters a game. He is a big rugged frontrower with great go forward and happily mixes it with the best props in the league."
"He has developed into a real leader on and off the field and he has not only performed well himself but has helped accelerate the development of our younger props - this side of James is something I will be encouraging him to continue as he is a well liked and respected player in the group."
Geurtjens joins the ever expanding list of players who have renewed their contracts with the club as it gears up for the 2016 season.
