Medforth Returns For 2016
Coventry Bears have today confirmed the re-signing of Eddie Medforth for the 2016 season.
The Wakefield based centre made a massive impression in his first season with the Bears before it was cut short by a shoulder injury.
Despite missing a large chunk of the season the former Sheffield Eagle amassed four tries in eight appearances.
Speaking on signing his new contract he commented: "I'm very happy to re-sign with the Bears, I feel like I have unfinished business after getting injured so early in season and I am excited by how the squad is looking for next season and having not played in a while cant wait to get back into it."
Head Coach Tom Tsang added "I am very happy that Eddie has committed to stay at Coventry for next year. Before he injured his shoulder mid-way through this season he was in great form - dominant in defence and a genuine threat in the centres in attack. He is just 20 years old and in my opinion, is one of the best young talents in League One so for us to keep him in Coventry is a major coup for the club. I expect him to come back in raring to go and pick up where he left off after his season ending shoulder surgery."
