Reserve Grade face Storm
Coventry Bears Reserves v Leicester Storm
Conference League South Match
Saturday 18th April, 2.30pm Kick off, Xcel Leisure centre, CV4 8DY
This Saturday Coventry Bears Reserve grade play local rivals Leicester Storm in an eagerly anticipated match up between the two Midlands based clubs.
It has been a number of years since the clubs met and Leicester will be keen to get a result to climb up the Conference League South table and show they have some pedigree.
James Carter Bears Reserve team coach commented:
"So far this season we've learnt so much as individuals and as a team. Our first game v Hallam Eagles really taught us a lot in how to keep to our structure and how to keep to our processes. We were hurt from that defeat and we've stepped on each performance through our following games against the Warriors/Cavs and it's really encouraging to see the less experienced guys pushing the experienced guys hard in training for a spot in the team. Obviously this Saturday's game means a lot to me as I was at Phoenix/Storm for over 5 years and also for the club as its our local derby with bragging rights at stake. For me it's one of the most important fixtures we’ll have this year and I'm confident the lads will step up again with a strong performance".
