I'm very happy with how our pre-season preparations are going so far and it is only set to get better with our pre-season camp to Spain before playing Hemel Stags and University of Gloucester All Golds.

Spain will be a brilliant opportunity to get some concentrated work done in a fantastic environment and great facilities. It will also be a chance for the players to really come together and build some bonds ahead of what will be a long and tough year.

Our first pre-season match against Hemel will be a first look at many of our new squad in action and will be a good hit out to test some combinations and players in different positions. It will be a tough game obviously with Hemel performing so well in the last couple of seasons and that is exactly what we will need.

The second friendly against Gloucester will again be a tough game and a perfect opportunity to fine tune things as well as give game time to anyone who misses out versus Hemel. It will be a very important game as we prepare to play Oldham in the first round of the League One cup the week after.

I am very confident that we are currently on track with where we wanted to be and it promises to be an exciting few months before the season starts properly in April.
