Super 8s for Bears in Sherwood

Coventry Bears newest age group, the U8s made their Paladin Midlands Festival debut at Sherwood against a valiant Bassetlaw Bulldogs and Bolsover Bulls team. In a great game of rugby league both teams acquitted themselves well in the sunshine with some crunching tackles and powerful runs.

The u11s continued the run of form remaining undefeated against Bassetlaw Bulldogs and Nottingham Outlaws and look to next Sundays festival at NEW Ravens in Solihull.

The Bears u16s battled valiantly in the mid day sun with a young team who gave a strong account of themselves after finishing their GCSE’s. Coach Rich Franklin could not fault the effort and commitment and was pleased to get a victory in the last game of the festival.

The Bears were delighted to travel in such big numbers and look forward to the remaining festivals a little closer to home in the West Midlands.
