Bears sign Emanuelli
The club has signed experienced welsh halfback Paul Emanuelli from South Wales for the remainder of the season.
Tom Tsang spoke of the new signing for the club:
"Paul is a player who has caused us massive problems in the past with his kicking game and game-management abilities. He is an experienced head and natural leader. Our side is currently full of the promise and the potential of youth but we do need more older and mature players to help our development. Paul ticks those boxes and im looking forward to working with him now he has returned from Australia where he took part in the Universities World Cup for Wales. He has also been involved as a full Welsh International and has been pioneering the game in Wales for years so buys into our ethos and journey"
Paul spoke about his move to Coventry Bears;
"leaving South Wales was probably the hardest decision I've had to make for a long time, I've put a lot into the club over last 4 years but decided it was time for a change.
Every time I've played Coventry I've been impressed with the setup and what they are all about.
After speaking to Tom and Alan it was a pretty easy decision to join the club, there enthusiasm for the game and there drive to improve Coventry is something I want to be a part of.
I'm looking forward to joining up with my new team mates and the thought of being in a different environment is really exciting"
